Jesus said to Peter "Come" . His Word sets us free! On saying "Come", laws were defied, the limits were taken off and Peter stepped out onto water... But how did Peter know to step out on water, why not row his boat to Jesus- what made him think he could step out to Jesus! I believe that that Word wasn't head knowledge to Peter but REVELATION!
1. If it was just head knowledge Peter would have just stayed in the boat- revelation causes us to walk in something & experience it
2. Without a vision/revelation the people perish- Peter received the Word and saw Jesus on the water! Peter heard the Word and saw the action! Peter heard that Word and knew it was an invitation for him to come where Jesus is-Jesus wasnt in the boat He was on the water!- an invitation is still open to us now! - We have the Word which is a revelation ( the Word has been revealed in Christ!!) so we are to step out and live it, letting His Word take the limits off!!
I also think that there is more to it for us! We see that after Peter received the Holy Spirit- received power!, he began to walk in the supernatural, calling people to Christ just as Christ called Peter to come to Him. We need to step out of the boat and then encourage others to follow suit. Christ has made a way for us to be with Him-let's be there!
